Mrs. Osmond will be carrying out the c.a.r.e program with the grade 2 students this school year. The objective of the c.a.r.e. (Challenge Abuse Through Respect Education) program is to increase the personal safety of children aged 5 - 9. This is a Canadian Red Cross RespectED program which we have offered in the past. Out goal is to ensure that all students complete the program during one of their primary school years. It is facilitated by professionals who have been trained in the delivery of the program (at our school both Mrs. Wendy Osmond and Ms.Jana Hardy have received the training). Before we implement this program, we will have a meeting for parents of grade two students to give them an overview of the c.a.r.e. program and its messages.
